We’ve settled into our amazing new space in Beechwold we’re ready for yet another open house event in honor of two Columbus, Ohio artists.

Kent T. Smith is a recent arrival to the Columbus arts scene having grown up in  Puyallup, Washington and relocating just a few weeks ago to be closer to his son and his family.  A few years ago, he decided to give spray paint art a try after seeing it done on the internet.  Hundreds of hours and hundreds of painting later, he is still at it, creating strange and out-of-this-world landscapes that are awe-inspiring.

Aubrey Liston is a cellist from Columbus, Ohio. She studied music performance at the University of Michigan, and performs original music under the alias Xioma. Her performances embody a wide array of influences from St. Vincent to Rostropovich.  At this event, she’ll be performing a program of works by Bach, Shostakovich, and Frank Bridge.

Upstairs Art Space events are free, family-friendly and open to the public.  Donations for food/music are gratefully accepted.

Look for us in the Beechwold Building (next to Beechwold Hardware – you’ll find the stairs behind the stone facade). There is plenty of off-street parking to be found.
